Microdermabrasion

Should I do Microdermabrasion?

Let's see what Microdermabrasion is and how it works

What is microdermabrasion?

In microdermabrasion, tiny crystals are applied via spraying onto the skin to precisely and gently remove the outer layer of your skin (also known as the stratum corneum). This technique is less aggressive than dermabrasion, so you should not need numbing medicine. The body begins to interpret the process as an injury, quickly replaces the lost skin cells with new, healthy ones. It is an exfoliation and skin rejuvenation procedure that leaves skin looking softer and brighter.

How it works

It works best on problems such as dull skin, brown spots, and age spots for the early stages of ageing, between 35 and 50. Microdermabrasion works on all skin types and colors. It makes subtle changes, causing no skin color change or scarring. It is not effective for deeper problems such as scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, or deep acne scars.

After microdermabrasion, your skin will be pink and feel dry and tight (like sunburn or windburn) for about 24 hours. Use moisturizer. Some types of makeup should not be applied for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
