Botox Treatment

Should I do Botox?

Let's see what Botox is and how it works

How it works

Botox is a prescription medicine designed to be injected into specific muscles to temporarily reduce wrinkles. It works by paralizing those muscles and preventing them from contracting and causing wrinkles. This treatment can be very effective and the results can last about three to twelve months, depending on what you are treating.

Doesn’t Botox have side effects?

Like any medical treatment, Botox has a full disclosure of potential side effects. While these side effects and adverse reactions do exist, they are very rare for the use of Cosmetic Botox. Cosmetic Botox is used in carefully selected doses for aesthetic improvement in persons in good health. Botox for medical use is used in far greater amounts in many body sites in patients with varying degrees of health. The FDA does not allow the makers of Botox to separate the potential and actual side effects of the medical grade use of Botox from the cosmetic grade use of Botox in their disclosures.

Will I lose the ability to make facial expressions?

Although the results are visible, a treatment with Botox will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you’ve have work done.
